Friends of Dana-Farber

Friends' Board and Bios

Jean Feuer

Jean Feuer spent most of her early years growing up with her family in the Midwest, with numerous moves due to her father's association with General Motors. She earned a B.A. from Michigan State University and did graduate work at Boston University.

Jean and her husband, Curt, live in Wellesley, Mass. They have a son, Scott, and a daughter, Lindsay. She worked 13 years before the children were born, including seven years in student employment and human resources at Boston University and Babson College and two years in human resources at State Street Research and Management Company.

Two friends of Jean who are Board members inspired her to join the Friends. She quickly immersed herself in many of the Friends' activities and co-chaired two very important fundraisers, both galas featuring a night at the Boston Pops. Jean also chaired Holiday Hospitality for several years and continues to assist in putting together gift bags which are brought to inpatients who are most appreciative.

There are other organizations which benefit from Jean's involvement including: the Junior League of Boston and Phoenix, Wellesley Service League, Wellesley Junior Woman's Club, Parents' Council, Belmont Hill School, Ten Acre Country Day School and PTO Boards of various schools. Her free time is spent enjoying travel, tennis, golf and bridge.

Jean said, "Dana-Farber is an amazing place where exciting medical advances are being made in the fight to cure cancer and where the care of patients is sensitive and caring. The individual and group efforts of the Friends are energetic and earnest, and I am honored to be a part of this outstanding auxiliary."
